This gorgeous little antique Silver and Tortoiseshell Jewellery or Trinket box is in round form and the lid is a stunner and is inset with a wonderful antique piece of tortoiseshell which is exquisitely inlaid with pretty silver pique inlay. It sits on three legs and opens to reveal a pale velvet interior with leather underneath. The box is fully hallmarked, albeit they are rubbed. The legs are slightly bent and the lid is slightly loose fitting although closes fine and has wear due to its age and use.
